Fantastic hotel and staff. Clean and tidy all over, great breakfast. Minibar and pool bar had prizes that actually invites you to use it, really nice! A special thanks to Domenico and Giovanni!

Very much enjoyed our stay at this small, 10 room boutique hotel. We were there for a two night stay mid week in July - hotel seemed about half full and we had the pool to ourselves. A couple major things to note here: Breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Particularly for Italian standards, which let's face it, are not very high. Everything was home made - including the croissants and baked goods - and an omelette and fresh squeezed OJ were available on request at no extra cost. Seriously a great amenity that we had forgotten about since our stays back in the Dolomites. Pool was also very enjoyable with assigned loungers from our room for the duration of the stay. Staff was great (Thanks Dominico!) and there's free on site parking in a garage underneath the hotel, which was super convenient. Room decor was not exactly our style, but the room was superbly clean and AC was crisp and cold. Easy walk to town (no sidewalks so be careful!). Made for a great base to explore Tropea and could easily see staying longer to explore more spots on the coast. Overall a great experience!

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Their warmth and hospitality made all the difference and created such a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. The hotel itself was spotless—without question one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. Every area was impeccably maintained, and it was clear that great pride is taken in keeping the property in perfect condition. The breakfast deserves special recognition. It was, without exaggeration, the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The quality, freshness, and variety were outstanding, and it quickly became one of the highlights of each morning. The pool was also a wonderful addition. It was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality, immaculate accommodations, and an unforgettable experience.

We just completed a lovely 9 night stay at the Sui Generis. Can't say enough about the wonderful staff, Domenico was such a pleasure and so helpful as was Giovanni at the pool and breakfast. The female staff at desk were lovely as well (sorry that I did not learn their names) as well as the wonderful cleaning staff. The pool and breakfast were both perfect 👌. Something new on the menu every day! The hotel is so conveniently located to both the train station and the old town. Easy to navigate without a car. Would love to return one day. Can not recommend this lovely hotel enough. Thanks Sui Generis

Good location, very safe, easy access from the train station. Cold water in the swimming pool, but overall excellent experience. Master Giovanni at the breakfast take care about all guests in the morning. Breakfast menu - many choices with surprises. Very clean place.

The hotel & staff exceeded our expectations at Sui Generis! We absolutely loved that it was boutique and intimate yet with a luxury feel. The breakfast every morning was amazing and the room was very spacious! The two cleanings a day was such a treat. The hotel will also provide you pool & beach towels to use which was very nice. It is also just a 5-6 minute walk to the lively city centre. I would highly recommend them for any visit to Tropea, we would definitely stay here again :)

Great staff. Excellent hotel.

This is an excellent place to stay. Staff is incredible and friendly. Domenico was so nice and made a dinner reservation for us at a phenomenal restaurant. We stayed in the suite for two nights. Breakfast is well rounded with various options including eggs to order. Would definitely recommend.
