“Very basic hotel. Functional and clean No staff on site after midday it seems, lights off. Worst part was lack of air conditioning, rooms we very hot and only a tiny fan provided”

“When we checked in it was incredibly warm, 35+ degrees. There was no air conditioning in the room, just a table fan. That's more of an insult than any actual help. No portable AC, no real cooling and no staff, just an envelope with our names and room key. The hotel overall was ok, but the heat was really uncomfortable and will be what we remember.”

“I was initially happy with this hotel because it was a good price and breakfast was included. The facilities were good for what we needed. However, I think it is not ideal that the reception is not open in the evening or that you can't contact anybody unless in very urgent cases. My daughter was sick and if I had been anywhere else, I would've been able to get new bedding and towels straight away. Also, it was very hot in the room and there is no air-conditioning, not even a fan. I can't imagine what it would be like to stay in the height of summer. We left 1 night early mostly to make an early flight in Basel but also to enjoy a cooler stay elsewhere. ”

“Sun Parc is an okay hotel mainly due to its excellent location if your aim is visiting Europa-Park and Rulantica. It is about 5 minutes from Rulantica and 10 minutes from Europa-Park, making it a convenient and more affordable option for families. The family room size is good, with a double bed and a bunk bed, which worked well for us with children. However, cleanliness needs significant improvement. The bed presentation was poor, with torn bed linen and a large amount of hair on the beds. When lifting the mattress, the area under the bed was extremely dirty, showing a lack of proper cleaning. As there is no carpet, regular cleaning under the beds should be expected. The shower has excellent water pressure, but the space is small, especially for taller guests, and the curtain sticks to the body. The bathroom also had an unpleasant sewage-like smell. The hotel is quiet, reception is not 24 hours, and we did not see much staff during our stay. Complimentary water was available at reception, but it would be more convenient if it was placed in the room on arrival. The tourist tax payment - in cash - was not clearly communicated in advance. Nearby restaurants shown as “open” on Google were mostly closed at lunchtime. A nearby kebab house was very good, and The Italian is highly recommended. Unfortunately, no breakfast was available at the hotel during our stay. Overall, suitable for location and budget, but cleanliness and communication need improvement. ”

“It was a nice stay. Clean, check it was already prepared, water and a coffee for free. All in all perfect for a short stay. Very close to rust”
