Tanglewood Suites  |  Bed & Breakfast in Stockbridge

Bed was quite comfortable and the setting was in a beautiful neighborhood. Excellent proximity to Tanglewood. And host gave exceptional information regarding local eateries and things to do. I would have liked to have known at booking that the owner does not accept credit (as the hotels.com app allows for the appearance of down payment by credit). All was well resolved at time of arrival but more accurate information on the description at booking would be helpful and clarifying. Also this is more of a private room rental than hotel stay. Also well and good, though again, accurate representation via hotels.com description should make this more clear. All in all a good stay and would recommend for anyone seeking a very close stay for Tanglewood performances.

The property is so lovely and peaceful. I love the classic mid-century modern aesthetic. For visitors to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy, the Inn’s location couldn’t be more perfect with only a 5-minute walk to the Shrine.

We stayed one night, after a concert at Tanglewood, in the smaller of two suites created in the lower level of a deck house (the owner Carole lives upstairs). The location was very convenient for us (~5 miles from Tanglewood), and quiet and rural with nice grounds. The suite was comfortable and clean. Carole kept in touch to make sure we knew how to find the address and set a time to greet us and show us the suite. The only negatives would be that the hot water could come faster and the “continental breakfast” (croissants, melon and ground coffee left in the fridge) could be more varied. After checking out we visited Naumkeag, a beautiful Trustees of Reservations property which Carole recommended, only a mile away. Overall, T.S. offers nice, convenient accommodations with friendly service by the homeowner (note that credit cards aren’t accepted). Not fancy or new but comfortable and roomy.

Carol is wonderful

We had difficulty finding the place. However after phoning Carol, she not only directed us to the location she drove us to the festivities and recommended things to do. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing missing was no coffee setup.

It was mid-centuary modern, so interesting. We had a hard time finding it as Google maps had it way wrong and I had no contact info other than email. If you do book be sure you get location info! Carole was very nice.

A fabulous experience. The owner is very hospitable and charming. The room was well-appointed and spacious, and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy as well. Highly recommended.
