“We were given an upgrade at no extra cost, to a very spacious and comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable, and it was very quiet, with no light coming in at night. We had a wonderful sleep, and used the kitchen facilities in the room, which were perfectly adequate for our needs.
Unfortunately the internet crashed the second night we were there, so no TV, but we were tired so it didn't matter.
We would stay again, very happy with our visit”

“This hotel is exactly what I needed after taking the Tranzalpine over from Christchurch.
The front staff was so friendly and answered all questions I had, as a tourist in Western NZ during winter.
The room was incredibly easy to get comfortable in, and the heat was welcoming. The AC worked as well but given the temperature during my stay the heat obviously most used.
I walked down to the Tasman sea which is less than a 5 minute stroll from the property, almost all on sidewalk.
I can not recommend this hotel enough and would stay here again when I’m back.”

“Hotel as room service which is great when you're tired after travelling. One query was the cost of a glass of red wine , they charged $21 which I think was incorrect, will query next time.”

“Disappointed with the TV reception, or lack of!! Stuttering reception. NO sound on one channel and the channels were random and missing a couple of options. The shower was a nightmare- leaked through the large gap under the door and built for people of 5ft 6' only. Had to mop up water off the floor after every use. Online pics did not meet the actual room and the furnishings were dated. On a positive note, it was great to have a washer and dryer. The restaurant attached also offered a good range of dining.”
