The Beach House Inn | Hotel in Kennebunk, Maine

“First, the location cannot be beat. The Inn is exactly what you would expect an inn to look like. The fact that it was handicapped accessible is a HUGE bonus. The receptionist was awesome and the coffee, cider, tea, hot chocolate assortment was better than most hotels we have visited. We were in a room on the fourth floor which had there not been an elevator would have presented a problem. The unit for air did not work so thank God the windows opened or we would have suffocated in there. The listing needs to delete the term “soaking “ tub from their room description. I was looking forward to a nice deep soaking tub experience but this was exactly as I have at home. Lastly, why on earth is the toilet paper located so far from the toilet? There is sufficient room to relocate it. With a few minor changes, this could be an absolutely incredible inn. Yes, we would stay here again!”

“The location was great. The coffee in the morning was great. The bed was very comfortable, however, we did not like our room. Aside from three hooks on the wall there was no place to hang our clothes. There was not a closet in the room.There was no storage in the bathroom for cosmetics or toiletries. The wall air conditioner was extremely loud and our room window faced the back parking lot. Housekeeping never made our bed. We were there for two nights. The room was very overpriced. The furniture in the room was somewhat shabby.”

“This was a phenomenal property, and an absolute STEAL for the price and location! The beds and linens were clean and comfortable, the bathtub and towels were so comfortable and soft! The toiletries were excellent and the room was well cleaned and well maintained! I also enjoyed the in-house gift shop for souvenirs as well as the lovely complimentary coffee and tea! They even had beach towels and beach chairs available for guest use on the beach! Everyone was kind and hospitable and we had an absolutely wonderful stay! Can’t wait to visit again!”

“Wonderful property in a nice location. The staff is very warm, helpful and friendly. Loved the bikes and beach chairs! First time in Kennebunk or Kennebunkport and we enjoyed exploring more than the beaches. For our room rate, the room could have been better maintained - some carpet stains and grout needed replacing in the tub.”

“This hotel is a little gem! The property is across from the water where you can easily walk to the beach, run, bike, or walk along the coastline. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The property is beautifully kept- it is clean, the staff is super friendly, and the store is stocked with souvenirs. They offer free coffee and tea 24/7. You can sit outside and enjoy the ocean view or in the lobby on comfortable couches and chairs. The room was exactly as described and a perfect size for a couple's weekend getaway. The property has a free parking lot on site. I would definitely recommend and cannot wait to return!”
