“We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! I’d personally avoid this place and find an alternative. ”

“Lovely rooms with a recently made over bathroom. Very comfortable mattress and bedding. Highlight has to be food and service. ”

“Excellent traditional English inn with lots of charm and character. The comfortable, warm room on a freezing January night was most welcome, as were the open log fires in the bar/restaurant. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating and the food was to a very good standard. The Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Bitter was an unexpected bonus !”

“This was a lovely country pub in a lovely area. It was easily accessible. The room was a good size for a twin and the staff were very friendly. Great for a cosy last minute stay. ”
