The Gables Inn - Sausalito | House in Sausalito

The Gables Sausalito is wonderful. The views, the rooms, the people. All are beautiful, comfortable and charming! Vintage rooms remodeled well. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel and room also a great location for the town which has a great choice of restaurants and you are right next to the ferry to san francisco with on site parking very helpful staff on check in and when their car park was full gave us a permit for the town car park

Beautiful and clean room. Our room was far from the lobby and they didn't leave the phone number of the lobby in our room. The ice was hard to find. The coffee mugs are too small and overflow even when selecting the smallest coffee. The bathroom fan stopped working. There is no AC. It's on us to not have noticed when we booked but I was surprised. The window has no screen and is close to the sidewalk and street. We didn't feel comfortable leaving the window open. It was the middle of the night, our room was real really toasty, and we didn't have the number to reach them. Didn't feel like walking to the lobby in the middle of the night. When we explained this to the staff in the morning the guy was very defensive and arrogant. He said that he lives there and leaves his door unlocked and that we should feel comfortable leaving the window open.

When I checked in Matthew was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He assisted with parking the car in a nearby property, and getting me settled.

Our room was charming - with an outdoor table to sit and watch sunset. In the room there was a good selection of coffees w/a keurig and the bed/linen/decor etc was modern and clean. The location was key - right in the heart of it all near the bay and fantastic restaurants. The world cup was in play and we had our choice of venues to sit and enjoy the camaraderie with the locals. In the morning the Sausalito Bakery was a local hangout with great coffee. Our final destination was Muir Woods - about a 20 minute drive - and staying at the Gables Inn was such a peaceful layover.

This was a great location. Our room had a balcony with a bay view. We were able to walk to restaurants and shopping so never needed to hunt for a parking space. The room was a little small but very comfortable. Tamara at the front desk was very informative and even escorted us to our room.

Good Location. The room was nice, but it needed more attention to detail cleaning. The view was great, but the patio was full of cobwebs and debris. Need cleaning. It would be nice to have more hooks in the bathroom to hold towels and personal items. Parking it extra :(

This is a wonderful inn. Front desk very helpful either off beaten path dining recs. Excellent location

Lovely hotel in walking steps from Sausalito town center. Was able to see Alcatraz from my bed haha. Have stayed here many times.
