“A fridge in the room would have been nice.”

“Beautiful room with all amenities needed for a one night stay. Great location close to the bars and restaurants.”

“Deliver driver banging and shouting at main door from 5am. Not ideal. No one answering. Ruined the night which wasn’t cheap for a room and a breakfast that was ok. Stick to the continental free breakfast”

“The hotel is very nice in a good location with good facilities. Nespresso machine in the room is a big plus, AC is very good as well. Some of the earlier staff including check in were quite curt, jaded and nonchalant but the late night staff were very helpful and thoughtful. The main issues were the shower was very beat up, fixings and screws were hanging loose and not properly secured, the metal shower head was also bent and twisted, The shower floor was squeaking and moving when you trod on it, shower was full of limescale and dirt and toilet seat was loose and moving around, basic maintenance and deep clean was needed urgently. Breakfast was a head scratcher, staff told us they would come to our table and take our order after we gave them our room no. and said we would want a hot breakfast (after they told us we could only have tea and cofee from the buffet - not juice or anything else for some reason). 15 minutes later the breakfast staff are still chatting with a guide and entertaining a lady who was complaining about a toilet not flushing (clearly a front desk issue), all the time the staff were not facing the dining room in any way and ignoring us all. Eventually I had to go up and remind them that they said they would come to our table to take our order after other diners had done the same. We enjoyed our stay but clearly there are some basic failings.”

“Continental breakfast offering was poor for the price of the room. Would of expected meats & cheeses etc. not just toast and jam.”

“Second time staying at this lovely hotel. Parking is a plus and decor is really tastefully done both in the communal areas and the bedrooms On our first stay we were at the front of the hotel downstairs from the reception and had a lovely stay and a restful sleep. Unfortunately this time we were in Room 16 at the back of the hotel, got to sleep fine but something started at 430 and then the kitchen fans kicked in about 630. Would definitely request a room at the front if staying again, aside of that it’s a fab place with friendly staff and a nice ambience.”

“Charming British feel to this Hotel, renovated building with a quirky room layout in the building. Narrow stairs to rooms, no elevator. Room well decorated, no desk or side chair. Tasty bakery or treats in room and lobby. Very good breakfast. 5 minute taxi ride from Cheltenham Spa station,”

“It was a very polished hotel that was very well presented. A fairly easy layout on the room apart from the fact that it was a little bit cobwebbed and the air conditioner was blasting with no easy way of shutting it off. It wasn’t until I left that I realised when the dial was. The shower, thought powerful, leaked and flooded the bathroom so I needed to use all my towels to mop up the mess. I could forgive the above but the pillows made it quite difficult to sleep. There were lots of them and they were huge.”
