Positive: We had such a beautiful stay at this cottage, exactly the kind of peaceful escape we were hoping for. Surrounded by nature, the setting is incredibly calm and grounding, with stunning views that make you want to slow down and just take it all in.
The camping experience was fantastic. well-organized, comfortable, and still close enough to nature to feel like a true getaway. Waking up to fresh air and quiet mornings was a highlight.
The staff truly made the experience even better. Warm, attentive, and always ready to help, they created a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived.
And the food was delicious ☺️
Negative: While the stay had many lovely aspects, there were a few areas that could be improved. The cottage itself could have felt a bit cozier and more comfortable. Additionally, the bathroom had a leaking issue, which was a bit inconvenient during the stay. With some attention to these details, the overall experience could be even better.

Sebastien is an exceptional host - warm, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
The authentic Mauritian cuisine is absolutely delicious, a true delight! The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting and recharging.

The breakfast was absolutely impeccable; combined with that gorgeous view and the warmth of the cabin, comfort and contentment went hand in hand. I also loved how clean everything was. The bedsheets were fresh and not a speck of dirt on the floor, which sometimes you would expect with places in the mountains. But not this one, so pleasantly surprised by the good maintenance. The host is absolutely welcoming and friendly as well. We actually booked the place to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and the host, Sebastien, had someone make a homemade birthday cake as a gift to us. We could not have asked for a more welcoming gesture. 🙏Thank you, Greenshack! We look forward to more bookings with you.

As a suggestion for improvement, maybe include some more tools to lit a fire. It was hard trying to start a camp fire with limited tools. Reso maybe? Wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a camp fire and failed miserably. 😂

Gorgeous views away from the crowds up in the hills overlooking the sea and forests. Sebastian was incredibly helpful both before we arrived and afterwards. Also helped take us on a lovely hike to the local stunning waterfall. Included a lovely breakfast and you could also order dinner on top.
Negative:
Was worried as we needed him to give us lifts (unless you have a 4 by 4) to the shack. It's a 10min walk from where you park but because it rained and I was pregnant we weren't confident to do it. However he was so open and generous with his time and availability it wasn't a problem. He is planning to make the road more accessible in the next year anyway.
Summary: Stunning location really in nature with very friendly, helpful owner
