Comfortable bed, quiet establishment, lovely breakfast.
The Ivy at Verity was amazing! The room was large, with a comfortable bed and soft bedding and a balcony overlooking a lush courtyard. The bathroom had a large bathtub with a variety of bath salts and a fabulous shower with an octopus shower head. The room rate included daily housekeeping, daily breakfast (pastries, yogurt, granola, coffee, and juice), and nightly turndown service. The staff were so friendly. Also, the restaurant (George) and the speakeasy (Secrette) were worth a visit.
A wonderful hotel experience for myself and my wife. The room and its facilities were fantastic and great value for money. Perhaps for some non Canadians, like ourselves, you could be put off by some sights and people on the nearby streets. The hotel and its staff and many other local establishments rise well above this.
