“The room was very lovely set outside the pub with it’s own car park and area. Very helpful and friendly staff. the village was nice with a number of food options and it even has a hardware shop, a very rare thing theses days. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was well stocked. Only one complaint was the mattress needs replacing as it was sagging and not very comfortable. We have every intention of returning but please buy a new mattress.”

“Ideal for a 1 night stay. May need to explain that when they say ‘breakfast included’, its a basket including cereals, croissants, biscuits and yoghurt. Not actually a hot breakfast or a breakfast menu in the pub. Lovely staff. Nice and clean room.”

“Very tired looking room. Could do with fresh paint to cover the stuff marks and some new net curtains as these were ripped and hanging down. Room could have done with a good clean but the bedding, towels, toilet, shower & sink were clean. Bed wasn’t comfortable. Lots of noise from the main road. Would expect more for £80 per night. Wouldn't stay again unless there was some improvements made. ”

“Not great for the money, spend another 20 quid and get a better room somewhere else. 1 towel No shampoo or soap and no heat as it was shut off. Breakfast was a few biscuits, a wrapped croissant and a couple of boxes of cereal, meh at best. ”

“The room was a good size, clean and well laid out. The bed was very comfortable. Thhe bathroom was warm and shower powerful. The breakfast we knew was to be in the room and a limited offer but had everything we expected. Host was friendly and helpful. There was a good atmosphere in the pub ( no food available) ”

“There is no hot food is available at this pub/B&B. The continental breakfast didn't represent value for money (IMHO). The accomodation is in a separate building that has been repurposed. The shower room was extremely small such that very imaginative plumbing had been employed to squeeze it all in. The accomodation was entirely on the ground floor so there was some traffic noise. That said, fortunately it is situated in a quiet village so the situation was tolerable. No complaints about the bed at all! Generally, the rooms were dusty and there were quite a few places where the paint was peeling off the walls. We met the landlady in the pub when we arrived she was polite but only seemed interested in extracting payment. Another member of staff showed us to the accomodation, she was more friendly. We didn't see either of them again. We didn't get instructions for returning the keys so, as it was early Sunday morning and no one was about, we posted the keys through the pub letter box. We will not be staying there again!”
