Fantastic hotel, attentive staff and great facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to returning soon.

Hotel is a little tired. The lifts are antiquated and are frankly not suitable for a hotel like this. The main disappointment was the lack of parking space. In a party of six people with three cars only one off us managed to park at the hotel for the overpriced sum of £27 per night. There was no help available from the reception area as to where alternative parking was to be found. Food is average to be honest and the wine is overpriced. If I had to sum the Nici up I would say it is an aspirational in the sense that it aspires to be more than it actually is but is struggling in its current state to get there. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the staff were in the main very good.

An excellent hotel conveniently located on the West Cliff which is about a 10 minute walk into the centre. Also quite close to the West Cliff Lift if you prefer to avoid the steepish walking option up/down. Lovely outside pool with lots of sun beds but they were very busy as we were in the middle of a heatwave when we visited! Two good restaurants on site. We stayed in the annex which was very nicely decorated, clean and cosy. Staff were friendly and professional. We didn't visit the spa/gym/indoor pool.

This place is awesome. On the cliffs above that amazing stretch of beach. It feels like you're in another country quite frankly...especially when it's 30c+ outside. It's expensive, but very, very well run and whilst it's not quite MIAMI...which is the vibe they seem to be aspiring to...it is nonetheless very cool, especially around the restaurants/pool area, and it is about as far removed from an English seaside hotel as you can get. It's also a lot closer than Miami if you want a heatwave weekend away! 2 niggles: - parking is tight. They managed to squeeze us in but they acknowledge that their car park too small for the number of rooms...but I feel that they do what they can and help where they can. - Away from the Beach Bournemouth is really struggling...so yes, go for this hotel, the beach, Sandbanks and the coastline but understand that if you turn left and go 500ft in to town you'll be sorely disappointed. I kind of hope that places like NICI will inspire more places like it and lead to some desperately needed urban renewal... because NICI is a pretty classy joint.

Nice hotel, good room and comfy bed, stylish design. Reception were helpful and accommodating. The restaurant food was really good quality - it was a bit slow, but I think they were a bit busier than expected and they comped a drink. Only criticism is the pool area was overcrowded, I get the impression day passes were sold (I may be wrong) but it was a bit too busy, for comfort, but the beach is only 10 minutes away.

Our stay was lovely! The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated with tropical, Miami Beach vibes! Updated everywhere and very clean! Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom could use space/shelving of some kind for storage. The sparkling pool is by far the star of the show! On a sunny, warm day and that’s where you want to be all day with gorgeous views of the sea. Comfortable for all, adults and children. Great location, nice little kids club room with gaming, and indoor pool and spa, makes it an ideal spot! Highly recommend!

I've stayed in this hotel many times, as it probably the nicest hotel in Bournemouth. However, that is not to say it doesn't have its issues. Given it's an old hotel that has been modernised, there is a lot of issue with noise, particularly between the floors - you can hear every footstep someone makes above you, that is not an exaggeration. The doors on the rooms are not on soft closers to prevent slamming, so you will encounter a lot of noise if you have fellow guests who are less considerate with not closing the door quietly, and letting it slam. Staff in the restaurant and bar are ok - just ok. You will often be waiting a while to served or even acknowledged, but once you have they are friendly. Reception staff are a mixed bag - some very kind, helpful and cheery, but one woman on my most recent stay was curt and barely made eye contact with me. Food served in the restaurants is nice, but not exceptional. All of these issues are exacerbated by knowing what you are paying to stay there. This hotel is not cheap!
