Step outside and access the footpath that leads to Newtown Park, the Forestry Commision walks, the crags and the 1410 foot high summit of Simonside. St Oswald’s Way passes close by at Lordenshaws. Rothbury enjoys many amenities including traditional pubs, coffee shops, bakers, butchers, galleries and leisure facilities. There are pleasant riverside walks and a playground for children. The glorious Northumberland countryside - still a well-kept secret, just waits to be explored and The Old Mill is a convenient and central base. The Old Mill - 28218 Reviews
Hosts are friendly and so helpful with sharing tips for site-seeing options and local and historical knowledge. The suite is spacious and clean. No complaints and would love to come back again someday! We chose this location because of the beautiful, quiet atmosphere with an hour or less to so many historical sites (we came here from Canada).
