“I had high expectations for this hotel, especially considering the very high price I paid and the extra cost for a sea-view room. The room itself was beautiful and the view was amazing, but the service and cleanliness were extremely disappointing. As soon as I entered the room, I found mould in the shower grout, hair on surfaces, cigarette ashes on the floor, and an ashtray that had not been emptied. For a hotel in this price range, this is absolutely unacceptable. The room was also not cleaned or the bed made during my stay, which shows a serious lack of attention to basic services. The Wi-Fi was not working, and nobody informed me at check-in. This was a major problem because I was travelling in Turkey and had no mobile data available. Also, on an island with no cars, the hotel offered no useful alternatives such as bicycle or golf cart rentals. Despite my repeated complaints, the staff did nothing to solve the problems. They spoke very little English and did not seem interested in helping. At the end of my stay, there was not even a gesture of apology or compensation. The property itself is beautiful, but the service is far below the standard expected for the price paid. A great location and a nice view cannot make up for poor cleanliness, poor management, and a disappointing guest experience.”

“I've preferred here beacuse it is close to istanbul where i live, and it has pool and beach together and I didn't regret! Location is excellent, it is far from the crowd and built environment of Buyukada, if you want to enjoy the nature. I've arrived there by shuttle, then taken a walk around 5-10 minutes. It is also possible to go there by boat. I didn't prefer to go to the center while I stay. I like how the rooms located. The main building has the most rooms but when you go down to the hill, they've used inclination and built group of rooms with the view of the sea. It could be great if you travel as a crowded group because those units have common patio. Beach area is very large, crowded on weekends but noone disturbs anyone, everyone is having fun in a respectful way. There is a dj show, I really enjoyed. Sea is clean, staff is friendly and always helpful. Rooms are well decorated, has a great view. Breakfast is not bad , simple Turkish breakfast, I just would like to have scrambled eggs or omelette, coffee is not included in breakfast. Also, need to mention the cats, they were soo sweet, there was also a mother cat with three babies! Staff was so kind to them, they were able to be with us anytime. In general, I really liked to stay in The Roof Ada, I would definetly stay there again, It's a great easy escape from the stress of Istanbul”

“Everything was perfect from start to finish. The room was spotless, seriously one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed in. The staff were super kind and always helpful with a smile on their faces. We stayed in a room with a balcony and wow—the view was out of this world! Truly one of the most breathtaking views you’ll ever see. Breakfast was just right—simple but fresh and enough to start your day happy. The beach area was chill and comfy, and the DJ sets in the evening made it all the more fun. Great vibes all around! Can’t wait to come back. 💛 ”

“Great and smiling service..great breakfast but huge cummon fly problem..room heater was not working properly and property has to have a shuttle service to/from the bus stop and can charge the service.. property has a great view and location but the side street, enterance and the outside of the building is not nice you might feel some dissapointment but the view calms you down..lots of improvements needed.over all we left happy.”

“Upon arrival, I asked how to reach the beach. The hotel staff informed that the beach is closed and will be opened tomorrow. I asked if they compensate for the nearby beaches’ entry fee which was not answered positively. They later suggested the beach was partially open. I think if the beach is not fully open, they need to state it in their hotels.com profile as many people book it for a decent swim and it’s a bit disappointing to see it’s not available. The sea surface was covered with a layer of dirt, jellyfish and bubbles. Even a rough surface cleaning can make a huge difference as currently only a few were swimming. Poolside orders are not managed well, ours was forgotten. ”
