“This property is one of Shanghai’s highest rated so I booked it for 6 nights and my first visit to the area. It has a very modern, hip vibe - reminding me of a few W Hotels in the US, with dark lighting (especially in the elevators) and mood music. The room was nice, bed + pillows + towels superb, and staff very helpful. I do think it’s overpriced but enjoyed my stay.”

“Friendly staff and all very service minded. Location was great and the hotel in general was great. But for this level of hotel, there were some maintenance needed. For example small scratches on white walls, very minor things. But I wouldnt expect to see that in a hotel at this level. But very good stay in general.”

“During my 5-day trip to Shanghai, my only regret was staying at The Shanghai EDITION for just the final night due to my travel itinerary. Even though I arrived much earlier than expected and requested a check-in, the staff graciously assisted me with an early check-in. The service mind of the staff, the sophisticated atmosphere of the hotel, and its prime location were all absolutely superb.”

“Good location and good views from the room, though in compare to other Edition hotels I have been to, this one is definitely an on a lower quality of Edition hotels and more comparable to 4 start hotels. They failed twice to deliver my luggage to my room and failed to book a reservation for dinner. even after talking to manager, there were many time miscommunication. Overal, don't worth the cost and better alternatives available out there. ”
