Thon Hotel Sandnes Reviews

“good value hotel on the way from Denmark to Hardangerfjord. Hotel appeared dated but fine. Comfortable beds, free tea and coffee and great breakfast”

Moira · Sep 21, 2026 02:11:09 AM

“The staff were helpful. The room was good. The breakfast was good, with plenty of options. Our only problem was, that during the summer, the restaurant is closed for dinner! The hotel was packed, but you could not dine there. I really think the management needs to rethink their policy. They also need to update the information on Hotel.com, as it advertises a bar cafe, but also the restaurant without stating that it is only for breakfast. If I had known that, I would never have booked it.”

“I loved this hotel overlooking the water. Our room had a nice view. The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was especially special with a full spread of delicious food and drinks. I could feel a sense of calm staying here. I really loved it.”
