As you enjoy your say at Train Whistle cottage you will hear the ever so gentle Whistle of Emeralds famous Puffing Billy steam train as it makes its way through the Dandenongs to Emerald Lake park, on its way to the lovely small town of Gembrook.
A 5 minute walk takes you to Puffing Billy Station where you can board the train to either Gembrook or Belgrave, take part of the famous ride through the lush green country side of tree ferns, gum trees, hills, and rolling pastures.
