The Coach House is situated within the three acre grounds of ‘Chy Wheal Honey’; the counting house to the old tin and silver mine that used to be active between 1870-1875. The 80ft chimney that commands its space within the grounds, proudly boasts its many rows of red brick that indicates the wealth of the owner at the time of its running. Sadly it’s now the only surviving part of the mine but can be seen from miles around.

The maintained gardens are split over two levels. The front garden is mainly set to lawn and is ideal for ball sports while the back landscaped gardens are tucked away amongst the backdrop of rolling countryside and is host to the zip wire that the more energetic guests are welcome to use. With the added bonus of the shepherds hut, you can relax for afternoon drinks either at the table and chairs outside or on the day bed neatly housed within the hut!

The private outside area that welcomes you, offers a quirky makeshift bar that has a fully functional fridge, barbecue and bar stools to sit at while sipping your favourite cool drink!
The outside free standing swimming pool is on two levels with access into the pool and a decked sun lounge on the upper level and the eating area with table and chairs on the lower level. The pool isn’t heated but in the warmer months, it can reach bearable temperatures of 21-27 degrees!
With the added bonus of a hot tub neatly positioned beside the swimming pool, you now have the choice to relax in warmer waters of the hot tub or stretch to a couple of lengths in a fresher temperature of the pool!
(THE POOL IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR USE BETWEEN MAY TO SEPTEMBER INCLUSIVE therefore a reduction to the pricing outside these dates are taken into consideration)

The Coach House provides the perfect place to stay for families, small groups or just couples who want to relax in tranquil countryside. With the hot tub available throughout the year, the zip wire stretching the length of the lower gardens and the swimming pool available in the warm months, we hope we can offer you a memorable vacation that’s situated within glorious countryside that also offers walks and cycle rides to the more active!

On your arrival a welcome hamper containing local Cornish produce will be waiting for you in the kitchen.
