“The lodge we booked was in a very peacful setting. Well maintained, spacious interior and well equipped. We had an enjoyable 5 night stay with a good breakfast purchased for the first morning of our stay. Car was parked close to the Lodge, very convenient. We would like to book again. Robin and Jill”

“We stayed in the deluxe villa 508. The villa looked clean, however we found some marks in the curtains. On arrival, they gave us the spa key of another room. A couple of days after that I was unable to enter the spa because the key was deactivated. They told me they were looking for that key and asked me how I got it. I explained it was given to us on arrival but it didn't give me a good impression and also felt embarrassed. The Villa itself is not well sign posted which cause us a headache to find it on our arrival. Overall, the place is quite and peaceful. The lay out is good. We tried the restaurant and, even having a small menu, the food was very nice.”

“Really lovely hotel. Surprisingly well-maintained for its age (seen lots of hotels in similar buildings that are very shabby, not so here). Beautifully clean, nicely appointed rooms. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Great location for exploring up and down Cornwall. Special thanks to Selim (the hardest working man in hospitality!); there was a bit of confusion around the booking which was sorted promptly for us.”

“Staff were incredibly helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The whole place is clean but a bit tired- I think they are due to refresh the property soon. Didn't get a chance to use the spa as it closed early at 7 pm. Breakfast was buffet style which was ok though the earl grey tea was a bit weak and tasteless!”

“The room was clean with everything we needed. The beds were two twin mattress put together which kept separating leaving a gap to fall through which was very annoying and uncomfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Pool and spa was nice, sauna was out of order though but everything very clean. Overall it was really nice for the price and I would go back, just would make sure it’s a full double bed!”
