Room was relatively comfortable,and location was convenient, but there were no amenities: no water, no glasses, empty body-wash dispenser, no breakkfast, nor coffee.

Lobby is dated, carpets are stained and dirty, amenities are lacking (I.e. no hand soap in room, no water filling stations anywhere on property, absolutely no additions in room), furniture in room wasn’t very clean, floor was sticky, nothing looks like it gets wiped down in elevator or doors entering the building, vending machine in lobby only. The pictures online are not what this hotel looks like.

My wife and I travel to NYC quarterly and usually try a different hotel each time. Here is my honest "good" and "bad" assessment. We checked in about 3:30p on 8/25. The first surprise was that they did not accept American Express. Luckily I was traveling with an additional card. if not, it was either pay cash or find another hotel! No where on their website does it alert customers that American Express is not accepted. Upon entering our room (rm 700), we first noticed that the wall lamp on one side of the bed was missing. There was black tape covering the opening where the lamp would have been. We then raised the curtains and shades only to find we could barely see outside because the windows were the that dirty. (No exaggeration) Next we entered the bathroom. The shower had empty dispensers no toiletries whatsoever. The phones lines were down so we had to leave our room to wash our hands and request toiletries which didn't arrive until a second request was made 3 hours later. Aside from the phone lines being down, only one of two elevators was in service during our stay which sometimes resulted in long wait times. A staff member quietly informed me that the inoperable elevator had been that way for a "long time". In summary, the hotel is in a great location with easy access to Grand Central Station restaurants, etc. The rooms are very spacious for a Manhattan hotel. Good value, has character and is comfortable. Internet was substandard, very slow.

The staff were brilliant the hotel is a little tired but the location is excellent. They need to clean the windows!

My second time staying at the Tuscany Hotel. Quiet hotel with a great location. Walkable to MD appointments at NYU. Walk to Times Square. Good restaurants nearby.

The room was larger. However, the bathroom from the neighboring room could be heard. The staff was kind and attempted to remedy. No iron in the room. I was eventually moved to another room. The drawer was broken and a piece of wood covered the front of it. The bed was missing a sheet and the pillowcases were too small for the pillows.

It felt like a shell of a room. The king size bed was comfortable but only had two pillows. The bathroom had zero amenities including no shampoo or soap. The WiFi was spotty and the room had a coffee maker and a few mugs but zero coffee…also the fridge was missing

I was not particularly blown away by this hotel. Check in was a little bumpy. I pre paid but they didn't get the immediate payment from the website. I showed them the receipt and it seemed to be ok. They gave me a room and then changed it for what ever reason. The room was large enough but the shower had an empty shower gel container, then there was conditioner, but no shampoo. Tissue box with no tissues. Also there was only one towel, 2 hand towels but no washclothes. When I went down to see if I could get more, they said the overnight housekeeping called out and there was no access to towels. Adequate light and a comfortable bed made it bearable. It's conveniently near plenty of shops and public transportation. I'm on the fence as to if I would stay there again.
