“Great little apartment in a wonderful - and safe - location”

“Good location. The area felt very safe and was close to a little harbour/marina with a view of the Christ. The apartment has all you need, albeit on a compact scale. The shower is good; hot and very roomy. Bed was comfy with soft sheets. We only used the kitchenette for coffee, but there appeared to be all you might need for a small meal. There is a great little bakery just 2 minutes walk, where they do a great value buffet breakfast, and the Urca Grill was great for dinners (I recommend the salmon steak with broccoli rice!). It is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment to the entrance to Sugar Loaf Mountain. You can buy tickets at the bottom - or from the first level if you choose to walk up the first part - this is MUCH cheaper than the Get Your Guide prices. The views from the top are amazing. And there were regular buses into Rio for visiting Copacabana Beach, etc. The owner allowed us to leave our luggage between stays - so we were able to take internal flights to Foz and Pecone (Pantanal) with a few days at this great little apartment between each trip.”
