“I was quite disappointed with my room as well as the service of the staff upon my arrival to Valmar Corfu. When I first entered my hotel room, I did not like the smell...it was mildewed-like and not something I could tolerate. I addressed my concern with the front desk and the lady assured me that someone would come up to inspect it but no one ended up coming. I also found small bugs in the bed, in the television converter, as well as on the small island above the mini-fridge. I ended up sleeping in the room for the night. The next morning, I went to shower and the shower head barely ran any water. It was literally trickling...I was not impressed as I had to spend double the time in the shower! I had an event to attend to during the day but when I arrived back to my hotel in the evening, I addressed my concerns to the front desk again. The concierge came upstairs to inspect. I told him I would either like to change rooms or be compensated. He told me he would go back downstairs and check the availability of rooms and give me a call within 15 minutes....he never called my room. I also noticed that when I inspected the bed sheets after the cleaning staff had left in the morning, there were still bugs on the sheets, which leads me to believe they either did not change the sheets on the one side of the bed I did not sleep in, or they just didn't change any of the sheets. On my third day is when a new room was given to me. This room did not give me any issues. Very upsetting time.”

“Hotel was not ready they should have just waited to open it. Was bare and could see aesthetically it was not finished. Some staff made cocktails nice but wasn't consistent. long wait for drinks. ”

“A renovated hotel, but it still has its flaws. We lived on the fifth floor and there was a terrace above us, every day around midnight and in the morning we heard very loud furniture moving. We were always told that it would not happen again, but it did. On the other hand the noise of the music could not be heard from the bar but this could. The food was very good, but I would not say it is a five star hotel, more like a four. I did not like the unfinished work after the renovation and also the lack of precision - catching wasps in ordinary PET bottles that still had labels, etc. A big drawback was also that there were only two elevators for the entire hotel. Even though they opened recently, they can't keep it clean anymore. The staff were nice though. ”
