Positive: Amazing apartment and view. The place was lovely and clean with a great layout, plenty of facilities and a beautiful balcony to sit on and relax with a coffee.
Andrea was a delightful host who couldn't do more for you and lovely to chat with. He made us feel very welcome, helped swiftly with any queries and it's a huge convenience knowing you have a host on-site. He lives in the apartment above but we never heard a thing so not remotely intrusive.
Local town of Albisano had a couple of lovely restaurants, a shop (inside one of those restaurants) and a stunning view overlooking Torri. Well worth a short walk down there.
Negative: Aircon in the apartment is great in the main rooms but if, like most, you want the privacy between bedrooms and shut the doors to sleep it does get incredibly hot. We were there during a heatwave but a desk fan in the cupboard in each room would go a really long way.
You need to take your trash - seperated 5 ways as per requirements - down to communial disposal bins which are a good 6-7min walk away. This was not ideal when we left at 6.30am and you have last minute rubbish to sort. Simple enough but just leave enough time to do it (a small map in the room may also be handy!)
Definitely need a car if you want to conveniently get around to Torri, Garda and especially Malcesine. Taxis were not easy to book (even with lots of help and recommendations) and expensive (€90 to Malcesine AM, €25 to Torri AM which went up to €50 PM) so worth considering. It would pay for itself in a couple days.
Lastly the local shop (in one of the restaurants) was great for fresh bread, pastries, butter etc but light on things like water, coke etc. The nearest supermarket is 4km away so worth stocking up before arrival.
Summary: Amazing apartment with a stunning view and wonderful host

Positive:
Wow! We feel so lucky to have been able to stay at Villa Kiara.
We tied the knot during our stay, and had chosen to stay in an apartment rather than hotel, in order to have space for getting ready on the morning of our special day.
Andrea was beyond accommodating, we enjoyed every interaction, he is warm, friendly, and genuinely cares about his guests. On our wedding day, he was fabulous helping let in the hair/ makeup people, and at no point was it overbearing. He's just so so wonderful, and we are 100% hoping to stay again.
We saw the reviews before our stay, and had high expectations. Villa Kiara delivered, and constantly took our breath away. Even our wedding photographer was taken aback by the view and facilities! (We will absolutely add photos when we get them back!)
The facilities were clean, spacious and had everything you could need. Very comfy beds, and a beautiful outdoor spaces for the solarium/ hot tub. Plus a stunning view from the patio, overlooking the hills and lake. Breathtaking. Lots of information and recommendations for local services.
Negative:
By no means a negative. There is a fantastic free shuttle service, running from the end of the road into the main town. It hadn't started running in our first couple of days, and it's quite the walk! Our wonderful host helped link us up with local taxi services, but something to consider with dates of booking, or if you have any accessibility needs in your group.
Villa Kiara is 1000/10!
Summary: If you see it's available- book it! Incredible! We will be back!
