Villa Sofia Reviews
Reviewer Type: Couple
Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The room was beautifully decorated and a lot of attention was paid to comfort and detail.
Negative: If windows were left open there could be traffic noise because the building is on a busy corner. We kept the window closed and had no problem.
Summary: A lot of attention is paid to comfort in the room—great bed, pillows and soft sheets. The space was clean and beautiful

The room was very comfortable and the location provides easy access to the center of Modena. Paula, Paola and Sylvia are fantastic hosts. They are well versed in English, French, Spanish as well as Italian. They went out of their way to provide us with numerous recommendations and discounts for restaurants and balsamic vinegar. A delicious breakfast was provided daily (cappuccino, fresh cheeses, ham, fruit, pastries, orange juice), and they even accommodated my dietary restrictions. I would highly recommend this B&B!

The location is wonderful, a short walk to downtown and close to the university in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are lovely, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Very nice, well appointed bathroom as well. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Our hosts were so attentive, providing information about the area, dining suggestions (really great places!), and making reservations for us. This place is truly superior. We will be back!
