Villa Sofia | House in Stelida, South Aegean

Positive: Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The house was beautiful, spotless, and incredibly spacious. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to make our stay comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. It truly felt like a home away from home. George was an exceptional host. He lives next door and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. He was always available to answer our questions, offer helpful recommendations, and make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Naxos. His kindness and hospitality made our experience even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely return again. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Naxos!

Positive: Our host was very warm and accommodating, the house was very well kept and looked just like the photos. Great views from the rooftop balcony. Short drive into town, port or the airport.

Positive: The house and the view is amazing and located in a quiet area. The owner - Georg - is such a nice , polite and helpful person! He and his wife are living on the same ground and are always helpful with sightseeing tips , restaurants and beach recommendations. The house has a high comfort (bed, towels) and is very clean. From the roof balcony you have a marvellous view to the sea and the island Paros , with estonishing sundowners. We had a great and very relaxing time and enjoyed Naxos and the nice house ! We felt very welcomed and will definitely come back :-)

Positive: Lovely spacious property with gorgeous roof terrace with fabulous views over the sea and sunsets. The host was super helpful, friendly and generous leaving us plenty of water, a bottle of wine and fruit. The bed was very comfortable and lovely big white, fluffy towels. There is a near by small rustic cove approx 5 minute walk if you like a less busy beach. We also had access to a local hotel swimming pool which was a huge bonus.

Negative: It was approx a 20 minute walk from the local town for restaurants, supermarkets etc so a little remote.

Positive: Beautiful property, spotlessly clean. The host was very friendly and was readily available for any help and assistance. The view from the roof terrace was amazing and the sunset was even better than the one I had seen the previous week in Santorini. Lovely pool in hotel down the road which you can use as guests of Villa Sofia. 15/20 minute walk to Agios Prokopios which has a wide variety of restaurants and shops and a beautiful beach and from where you can catch a bus to other areas of the island.

Negative: Nothing

Positive: This property is even better than the photos! Immaculately presented, it was obvious that great care was taken to ensure a homely yet luxurious but authentic experience. It’s a bright, airy and uplifting property and you immediately feel spoilt upon entering. It’s also cleaner than any house clean you would do yourself. The host took great pride in ensuring every detail was the best it could be from the fluffy, super soft bathroom towels, the crisp white sheets/bedding to the wine and bottled water in the fridge on arrival. Based on our experience Islands usually struggle with water supply but unlike other experiences we’ve had, the water pressure at this property was super strong and the water never ran out or got cold during a shower. Showering was an enjoyable experience! The host was amazing. So very welcoming, a great sense of humour, willing to help in any way and a joy to get to know. We forgot some luggage upon check out and they drove out to the airport to get it to us before our flight out of Naxos without us even asking. The property location is perfect. Close to everything but far away enough so you don’t feel overwhelmed by lots of tourists around you. Easy access to all the gorgeous beaches, the port town and the local village that’s down the road. You even have your own private beach with gorgeous shade trees, umbrellas and sunbeds. The main villages to visit are also a short drive but there is also a good bus connection to most places. This property was the cherry on the cake for our time on Naxos and would return to stay again and to get to know the host even more.

Positive: We loved our stay! Villa Sofia is a beautiful, comfortable home with an amazing view of the ocean from the roof balcony. We truly felt relaxed and happy feeling from the sun and the gentle ocean breeze at the home. The place was impeccably clean, comfortable rooms, well equipped kitchen. All rooms open to the outside with patio doors and there is a useful outdoor shower and laundry machine. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful and we enjoyed talking with him - felt like old friends/family. There's a bonus, free access to nearby (walking distance) hotel pool which our family loved. There a great beach, Agios Prokopios quite close by as well. All in all made our stay in Naxos truly wonderful, we hope to come again soon!
