Positive: The place was lovely and had everything we needed for a great holiday.
Negative: Had to use £1 coins to pay for electricity. Honestly, the first and only property that I’ve stayed at where basic necessities were not at the expense of the owner. This would go along way for people, especially those with children.
Summary: Great location, but expect to use £4 a £5 a day extra in the cooler months.

Positive: Location near our daughters and quietness
Negative: Downstairs bathroom, steep stairs, poor heating in bathroom, duvet was not long enough , whole place felt like it needed an update in decor.
We are mid 70s and would not book here again due to steep stairs and downstairs loo.
Summary: We had a stay in an adequate property that served our purpose of a short stay near our family

Positive:
We had a very pleasant stay at Violet accommodation. The location was convenient, and the property itself was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The fully equipped kitchen was a fantastic feature, making it easy to prepare meals during our visit.
We were warmly greeted by the owner upon arrival, which was a nice personal touch. Overall, a great place to stay!
Negative:
The only minor issue was that the space felt a bit chilly on the last night when the temperature dropped outside, but otherwise, it was a wonderful experience.
Summary: Spacious, clean and comfortable

Positive:
The house is spotlessly clean. Rooms are a great size, and the kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary equipment. They also provide travel cot, highchair etc which we needed. The property comes with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The location is lovely and the house looks out on to beautiful grounds. The host that we met was friendly.
Negative:
The house was freezing. We stayed on the coldest weekend of the year and it took until the morning of our second day to warm the house, and that was with the heaters going 24/7. It was uncomfortable being so cold with a baby, but it got better on day two. There extra heaters in the bedrooms too. This would not be an issue in warmer months.
You need to put pound coins in a meter for the electric. We spent £2 in two days.
Not a big issue, but booking.com list this place as a third party for cottages.com I didn't realise this when booking and none of my booking.com messages got through to the hosts. I did get a number with the confirmation so was able to call them.
Summary: Good for families.

Positive:
John our host was lovely, he met us at the property and explained all facilities. cottage is clean and tidy with a nice bathroom on the ground floor and 2 double bedrooms on the first floor. kitchen has been modernised from the pictures on the site and was perfect for us. The grounds are beautiful and if weather was better during our stay we could have had our dinner in the garden. Overall lovely property and we will be booking again.
Negative:
The only slight negative was the shower, although looks new the water flow is really poor so washing my hair took quite some time.
Summary: Lovely property will be staying again!
