“Loved our stay but need to update historic charm with better lighting and room darkening shades.”

“Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooftop restaurant was good for casual drink and food. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Kcup coffee maker made decent coffee. Didn't like seeing stacks of clean glasses on the cleaning cart for distribution without paper cover on lids. Shower faucet was completely subpar and small with minimal pressure. Shower door was difficult to open and close. Bathroom sliding door was cumbersome and very difficult to move. For the price of the room I expected more.”

“The room I was in is a bit dated, one of the shades was not working well. Staff was courteous and the room was clean.”

“Hotel staff was very welcoming and courteous. Room was clean but a little run down. A few improvements to consider in the bathroom, I.e. towel hook nearer sink, additional shelf for curling iron/hair dryer due to pedestal sink. Great location which is what you are paying for.”

“We stayed in the King balcony Riverview room. The view on the river and lift bridge were excellent. We were on the 2 floor, and got to meet some of the other guests with balconies also; great shade in the afternoon/evening; a partial wall provides some privacy. Soundproofing only seemed to be an issue with the door into the hall. You could hear quite a bit, but not the neighbors next door. Front desk staff were so helpful and friendly. Charlie's had a unique entrance from the hotel. When on the balcony, there was definitely some interesting people watching especially during night life. Overall, it was the perfect trip. Only downside was that the freaky painted parking lot spaces were only big enough for a car without room to get in and out. Many people made their own lines.”

“Convenient location, nice to be right on the river. Easy walking access to downtown shops, sights, dining, and the river walking trail. Both restaurants in the hotel had nice views, good service, and menu selection. Room was clean, (but baseboard trim needed dusting). Space was a little tight with 3 of us staying in the room, but perhaps to be expected in a building of that vintage.”
