“The view was nice. The room felt cold and damp. Not sure what material the sheets were. Certainly not cotten. Bed was not comfortable. I canceled my 2nd night.”

“Room and bathroom were clean. Everything worked inclueding the iron. Stores and food places very close. Attended a wedding at the very nice venue right next door, can't remember the name, sorry. Nice view of the lake, balcony over hangs the water pretty cool. AC worked great, I had a very comfortable stay very convenient for the wedding I attended.”

“The hotel is a little older, but the room was super clean and large. We loved watching the turtles and the geese from the balcony! The parking was also convenient.”

“It's an old hotel. The views are beautiful from each room. I actually love the size of the room and it is tastefully decorated. Comfortable matress.”

“The view was amazing and such a wonderful surprise! We opened the curtains in the morning to find deck, with lawnchairs, overhanging a beautiful lake. We were able to sit outside and enjoy egrets, swallows, turtles, geese, terns, a cormorant and other great sightings at all times of day and evening. Because the motel overhangs the lake, you can't get any closer to this wildlife! Highly recommend. We would come back just for this experience.”

“I would not recommend staying here to anyone. There was garbage on the floor under the stairs, mystery stains on the carpets and walls of the hallways, and the room itself was also poorly maintained. There was sand on the bathroom floor, stains on the walls of the room, and everything was just generally rundown, dirty, and poorly maintained. Old equipment hookups were still sticking out of floors and walls in the room, there were gaps filled with random materials in places like the Kleenex holder in the bathroom wall, and everything felt like it had been patched up as cheaply and quickly as possible. I didn’t want to sit on the furniture and was hesitant to sleep in the bed. I paid for a two night stay and left before the second night. I would have left immediately if I had another choice.”

“It had been 34 years since my last visit and I was so very happy to see this hotel is still here. They did not disappoint. We had a lovely lake view with chairs on the balcony. The air-conditioning worked great! There is plenty of places to eat plus it's just a short drive to the Indiana Dunes National Park. The sunsets there are pretty and on a clear day you can see the Chicago skyline across Lake Michigan. ”
