Waves Oceanfront Resort  |  Hotel in Old Orchard Beach

Room was great. Retro even, which I love, very well maintained. Didn't utilize the kitchenette but great option. Room was clean, nice porch, able to hang wet stuff from the beach. Beds were comfortable. Room service was done. Toilet made an awful noise while refilling after flushed, not a huge deal but kids were bothered by noise, and I wouldn't recommend flushing while anyone was asleep. Also sounds silly but old shower still had separate handles for hot and cold, little tricky to get temp right, but easy enough, just careful with kids. Both pools we used were nice and clean and just a a few steps to the beach was the key factor. Would stay here again.

My first experience with the staff was at the front desk, very friendly, very knowledgeable about the hotel explained to us about the location of all amenities and told us if we had any other questions feel free to come back. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic location close to beach and a nice 5 min leisurely walk to the pier where all the food and shopping is. The swimming pool and the hot tub was also awesome. Really liked the separation of sleeping area inside the same room. The only negative was the small bathroom and outdated furniture and stuff, which made me give the 4 rating. Otherwise very good place.

Even with cloudy, drizzly weather we had a fabulous stay and were able to keep our toddler entertained! We were able to use the heated pools and hot tub and being so close to the beach was nice because we could walk over to play in the sand and see the ocean without it being a big deal. The distance to the center where the rides and pier and arcade are was perfect and we were grateful for the market and coffee shop right there on the property!

Room was nice but could use a microwave instead of cooking griddle. Patio was iffy. Could use updates. Staff super nice!

The location is good as it was right on the beach with easy access to the water. The pool was open until 10pm but there was no lighting. The curtains and the bathtub in the room were disgustingly dirty. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. Overall I would not choose to stay here again.
