“We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by. If you are after elegant, refined and well finished accommodation this property is not for you, however if you enjoy history that you can touch and feel the cottage is adorable (we were the latter). Would definitely stay here again but you need to accept the accommodation for what it is - a lower class colonial piece of history.”

“This is a great place to stay. So much history. The library is amazing. The cottage was built in the mid 1800’s. So it’s vey old. But certainly worth staying. Even electric blankets on the beds. ”

“Travelled for Business. Was close to shops and the pub. Unfortunately my time was in the middle of winter but the place was warm and the bed was comfy and thank you for the electric blanket”

“What a beautiful town.
Whites corner is easy to find - and was a beautiful historical place to stay on our way to Hobart ! Lots of beds and rooms for the kids to explore. Very clean and neat. Beds very comfortable. Lovely old place with history ”

“The 1837 cottage is old on the outside, but renovated with modern comforts inside. 2 big bedrooms, one with sitting room with TV, Lounge is comfy - Great to stay for upto 5 people. Worth playing Ratho Farm golf course, while the Pub is only a 5 min walk. Petrol in town was cheaper than Hobart! Fill up.”
