Whitehall Cottages | Hotel in Whitehall

I was very pleased with my room and stay. I had a bit of confusion initially about how and when I was getting a room access code since no staff is on site but staff is very responsive through texts. The room was nicely decorated in a fishing theme. Each room is decorated in a different theme. The wood floors in the room reminded me of my childhood home, including the creaks! There were minor cosmetic issues but otherwise very clean. I did have some issues with the television reception but I really wasn’t there to watch television anyway and I was able to watch the news on my tablet. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic stay in a cute town.

May we suggest putting some type of wrap around the feet of the bed frame ( like a pool noodle). I can’t tell you how many times our toes hit the frame In addition, if there is a way, to boost the WiFi signal streaming became difficult when more than two rooms are rented.

No kitchen, did not look like the pictures in the advertisement

Our stay was not as comfortable as we expected. By the pictures on the website, we thought we were getting more amenities than we did. The room was VERY SMALL. The floors were dirty, the bathroom door had black fingerprints all over it. All three of the windows in our room were not locked, and we didn’t realize it until the night before we left. There was no coffee pot, there was no place in the bathroom for anyone to put their toiletries while getting ready for the day. And there were no extra plugs to plug in electronics. We will not be returning.

Nice and quiet. Definitely the old motel vibe. Rooms were updated and very clean. Easy to get to.

Cute and clean. Thin walls, heard the neighbors arrive all to clearly after we were trying to sleep. Floor slopped, my husband had to move his pillow to the foot of the bed to have his head higher even after taking tums to be able to sleep. No local channels only Netflix, but the Netflix hadn’t been paid so no tv. Texted and emailed, no acknowledgment, no apology even two days later. Not worth the price! Maybe for half ?!?

Room was small. only access to bed on bottom and one side, which was very inconvienent for us. Smoke alarms went off twice in middle of night for no reason.

Beautiful and quiet for a weekend getaway

We took our 4 grandkids to Michigan Adventures for 2 days. The location was only 10 mins away from the park, which was great! Our “cottage” was perfect for the kids! They loved it! 2 double bunkbeds and toys to play with. The only negative was no door on their bedroom door. Our cottage was located directly across from an awesome restaurant! Good food and walkable. The only other negative was the road noise. The house sits on the corner of a main street through town. The curb appeal was not the greatest, but the inside was adorable, well stocked of everything you would need, and clean! Our main objective was having a clean, convenient place to stay and the Whitehall Cottage met our needs. I would recommend for a family with kids for sure!
