Only stayed the one night but can comment that the staff were friendly, room was clean (spotless), and I did take a simple continental breakfast which was about four pounds. My usual guide is would I stay again........ yes.

Despite arriving early I was made extremely welcome by all the staff. It is probably one of the friendliest places I've ever stayed. Even the owner, who was clearly busy made time to have a chat. I would definitely recommend you give this place a try.

Easy check in, room was clean and had what you’d expect from a hotel room. Had a room fan which was needed due to the heatwave

It was clean and OK until someone tried getting into my room at 01.30 this morning. Not happy

Room was okay, if you overlook cracked sink and crack in ceiling above the bed. Check in was good and initial impressions okay for the money. Went to visit relatives and returned at 8pm and it went down hill from there…..couldn’t park my car as car park full due to some sort of party going on, eventually got parked after waiting as no on road parking and went to my room in their annex building. What a sleepless night, party music thumping until 12.10 am and then what can only be described as a herd of wilder beast returned to the room above mine at 12.45am. These occupants in the room above were obviously trying to get their 10000 steps in before bedtime as for the next hour it was an orchestra of creaking floorboards, clomping footsteps, light switches going on an off and toilets being flushed….the soundproofing was between awful and non existent. Joy of joys they obviously didn’t like sleep as they were back at it a 7.55am. The happiest I was during my stay was in the car driving away. I realise the hotel can’t be held responsible for other residents actions, but, sort out the sound proofing and only rent out your annex rooms which are butted onto the beer garden to party guests if you are holding an event. I however take ownership of my poor judgment in booking a room connected to a pub on a weekend. We all learn from our mistakes…..pay more if you want to sleep.
