“Very helpful staff. A very traditional Japanese breakfast with no Western options. Up a long hill from town but if you don’t have a car hotel will pick you up from station and also take you to town for restaurants etc. then pick you up. Nice onsen with outdoor option. Big rooms. Nice views.”

Especially they drive to destination in wherever yufuin if you say in advance. It is amazingly worth to accommodate and be more famous. Someday if I come to yufuin again, i will definitely choose this ryokan. ”

“Excellent Dinner and Breakfast! Room was very spacious and clean, staff was kind and friendly and spoke good English. Onsen was amazing, very nice view. In the morning, one can look out of the window and enjoy the breathtaking view of the morning fog covering Yufuin City like a snowy blanket. Will definitely come back here!”

“Location: I liked the location which has a nice view and away from crowds. The main street is not walking distance on foot (still can do but will be a good exercise) but close enough for a short taxi ride. The hotel may offer shuttle but haven't asked. Instead, the area is very quiet which I liked. The main town was very crowded. Very delicious dessert shop near by. Property: Seems relatively new. Felt very clean overall. Huge windows in the lobby with a great view. The presentation is basic and no traditional ryokan feeling. Room: Spacious and clean. Windows faced downhill which had a good view. Downside was my room was near reception area. Some times, it was quite noisy. Food: Dinner was served at a local restaurant. The hotel provided shuttle on both ways. Food was good but not spectacular. Breakfast was served in the hotel lobby. Simple but didn't feel hungry. Onsen: Both indoor and outdoor onsen were small. Depends on the time of visit, you may be alone or feel crowded with other guests. Staffs: Everyone was friendly. ”

“Its a great Ryosan you can enjoy both an indoor and outdoor onsen. The room is very spacious and clean. The breakfast was tasty. The staff speak limited English but is very helpful to foreigner. If you are driving, it is a great recommendation. The Ryosan is 2.2km uphill walk from the Yufuin station (appx 30mins). Its a good exercise if you are up for it. Else perhaps try hiring a car if you are traveling in a group. The area has very little light pollution. I had a wonderful time walking back to the hotel after the dinner and see a clear sky with countless stars. Something you cannot see in the city.”
