“Akamatsu House was fantastic, the house was perfect for 2 families. The house is beautifully built, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. The only thing is the location. It is at least a 15 minute walk to the closest ski shuttle bus - that's if they stop for you or you can get on. And trying to get a Taxi is a nightmare in Hakuba. We ended up cooking many nights at the house as it was so hard to get anywhere. The hosts were awesome as they took us to the supermarket which was so helpful. I would suggest that you really need a car if you stay here. My only suggestion to improve the stay at the house is for the house owner to have a decent expresso machine (They only have an American drip coffee machine) and perhaps have some umbrellas at the house.”
