Brewers Lodge

Brewers Lodge is a Hotels stay in Blackwood, set on its own grounds with views over town and an easy reach of Newport, Cardiff, and Bristol. Originally a 16th century farmhouse, it now serves as a friendly country inn with a pub, restaurant, and event suite, giving the property a layered history that still feels present in the building. From here, you are also close to the local rhythm of Blackwood and within reach of the woodland and open landscapes around the area. Inside, the stay focuses on straightforward comfort. The property offers 15 modern en suite rooms, each with satellite TV, WiFi throughout, and heating for a steady, practical base after a day out. Some rooms may experience noise from the spaces above the inn, so the atmosphere feels connected to the building rather than isolated from it. Room rates are room only, and breakfast is not served in the restaurant, which makes nearby cafes a useful option for an easy start to the day. Shared spaces add to the sense of an active inn rather than a purely private stay. You can eat and drink at the bar and restaurant, step out to the terrace or garden, and make use of on site parking where available. Security features, daily housekeeping, and accessible parking support a smoother arrival and stay, while the property’s smoking and non smoking areas help the pace feel organized. It is the kind of place that works well if you want a simple, dependable stay with a social core. Getting around is manageable from here. The bus interchange is 0.5 miles away, and the train station is 2.7 miles from the property, giving you practical links beyond Blackwood. Brewers Lodge keeps the experience grounded, with a history that feels local, a setting that looks out over town, and a stay that leaves you with a clear sense of place.
