“Always enjoy staying here great staff, good golf, lovely facilities and decent food”

“Upgraded to a junior suite 21 square metres instead of 12. I had to walk sideways past the bed and a piece of furniture as the layout was so poor. Steps only into the hotel and steps only to the room not for people with difficulty walking.”

“The room we had originally booked smelt very strongly of damp, I went to reception to resolve this as I was prepared to stay in the room, the receptionist was very polite and helpful, came to see the room herself and agreed that this was not acceptable. She then upgraded our room which did not smell of damp at all. The upgraded room we had was very tired and dated, the bathroom floor was like an ice rink so I couldn't get in the shower which was over the bath without my husband helping me in and out as I'm pregnant and therefore couldn't risk slipping. Overall, not worth the money spent at all. The staff were very friendly and could not be faulted, but the hotel itself needs some updating and TLC”

“Beautiful location with stunning views, however the opening times for the pool amenities is poor and the rooms are NOT soundproofed as advertised, myself and my partner were doing adult things and had 2 phone calls from reception thanks to a miserable neighbouring guest,but the staff were so understanding and lovely about it, I would also like to give a special mention to the staff at the top bar who were also really lovely and even insisted on giving us a £1 to have another game of pool even though we had money, him and the chef lad were lovely, and those pastries we bought on the way out were sooo nice too!”

“Very good 2 night stay. Swimming pool, spa etc very good, we thought that a closing time of the pool at 7pm was quite early though for the weekend. Receptionists very heplful and welcoming, Room was very spacious but could only find 1 socket to plug in electricals, which was surpising. Having a balcony with a fantastic view of the Welsh valleys was definitley a bonus. Slightly annoying that they were cutting the grass at 7.30 in the mornings on the golf course which woke us up after an 8 and a half hour drive to get to the hotel the night before, so much for a weekend lie in! All in all, a good stay and would visit again.”
