Budget Inn | Hotel in Oskaloosa

There was no one in the office to check us in, just a note on the door with a number to call. The maintenance man came to check us in, but couldn't find our reservation. The bathroom tile was cracked, but things seemed pretty clean.

When I checked into my room, I noticed that the DIRECTV did not work in my room. I contacted the front desk and they had maintenance come up and look at it. An effort was made to fix it. The guy was cool but couldn’t figure it out. I asked if they could return the following day to correct it while I was away and they never did during my 3 day stay. The heat/AC unit also did not work correctly. The heat function did not work. They had a space heater in the room, which I had to use because it was cooler weather. I could see light coming from around the door due too a bad seal. It also made the traffic noise fairly loud since it was next to the highway. I had to checkout early on my last day and found the office door was locked and the light off so I had to return my room key in a drop box and wasn’t able to speak about my experience with them. So unfortunately they also weren’t given the opportunity to make it right with me. Overall, I think the staff I interacted with were nice but I probably won’t return because the motel needs work. If you just want a cheap room, then this is your jam.

Hair dryers are no longer available in the room. We had to go get towels for the room. Shower had no hot water. Had to put on the new roll of toilet paper when we first got there. We have stayed here before and had a good experience. This time was a deal breaker. Maybe it changed hands? We won't go back again.

The room was very clean, staff was very nice

The price for this room was perfectly suited for my 18 day stay. The room was perfectly satisfactory and met my needs. The staff is exceptionally helpful and wonderful to work with. Housekeeping was very friendly and efficient.

We have stayed here last summer and it was great. My only issue was the mattress in our room was a little too hard for mine and my husband's comfort. The owner and her family are super nice and sweet. Rooms are clean and plenty big that your not banging around against walls and the showers have hot water and great pressure! Already booked our room for next years week long county fair!

The room was ok. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
