Caladh Inn | Hotel in Stornoway, Scotland

“We enjoyed our stay at Caladh in Stornoway. The location was perfect, as we arrived late off the ferry into Stornoway. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.”

“Really friendly staff, great location with loads of parking. Really nice rooms and the carvery is a must.”

“The food at the restaurant was excellent, wish I had more dinners there. And the service as well.”

“Too expensive for what is offered. The location is excellent and the staff is OK. But there isn't the slightest attempt to make the place cosy or personal. Barren, grey walls. Not a place you want to spend any time in.”

“Was there on business, the hotel was ideal for my needs, staff were courteous and pleasant, reception staff helped me with early checkouts and couldn't have been nicer. Over all a good experience.”

“This hotel was very clean and serviceable. Except for one exceptionally helpful staff person there was nothing outstanding about it. It was conveniently located near the ferry terminal.”

“Front desk staff were delightful, helpful and welcoming Breakfast waiter was more interested in clearing tables than bringing us coffee. He actually cleared my plate while I was still seated, dropping utensils in my lap. In general he was unfriendly and rude. Otherwise breakfast was fine.”

“We stayed an extra night because it was so comfortable and secure. The Outer Hebrides are marvelous and Calaidh is the best location from which to see the Isle of Lewis.”

“A kind and safe sanctuary (Calaidh - is a safe port or sanctuary in Gaelic) in the old world port of Stornoway. The hotel is fitted out very nicely and also has a nice restaurant and bar. Location is outstanding. Near the port - near the downtown (shopping or touring or entertainment). The grocery store is a 2 minute walk. Off street parking was excellent. Staff were lovely. Full marks - all the way.”

“I found this hotel, friendly, welcoming, comfortable and clean. Breakfast gave plenty of choice including beautiful fresh fruit, all the British Breakfast components , yoghourts and cereals. The food for dinner consisted of two choices, a hot buffet or menu. The buffet choices were absolutely lovely, plenty to choose from and the menu was fun. Seafood skewer was of particular note! It is close to the ferry terminal and handy for Stornaway. Plenty Parking too. A really good experience.”
