“We had two nice nights here, but unfortunately the third was rather disappointing. After our ferry was cancelled, my elderly parents had no option but to book an additional room at short notice. They were charged £369, despite the room appearing online for around £260. Both prices felt excessive for the standard of hotel. It should not be the case that booking at reception directly with the hotel is punished in that way, as it put those not confident in online booking at a severe disadvantage. A fire alarm then went off at approximately 4:30am, completely disrupting their night. Given the circumstances and the extremely high room rate, it was disappointing that no discount or goodwill gesture was offered. A frustrating end to what had otherwise been an enjoyable stay.”

“Great hotel with excellent staff who were welcoming and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. Room was large and comfortable with very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Excellent hearty breakfast.”

“This is evidently a popular spot in the community, as we saw a bridal shower and a baby shower when we checked in! The restaurant is very nice, and although we only had drinks and desserts, they were very good. It was also helpful for our travel plans that they offer a continental breakfast starting at 5AM, and the full breakfast a bit later. The only two minimal things that would have been great would have been a fridge in the room, and being able to open the window a bit wider. Otherwise, the hotel was nice and absolutely recommend.”

“We stayed here for 1 night and could not fault it. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The meal we had at the restaurant was 10/10, excellent presentation and so tasty. Erinn particularly gave excellent customer service, was warm and genuinely friendly and a real credit to the hotel. The rooms were very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel is near the town and is dog friendly which is one of the reasons we chose it. We are so glad we booked here and would highly recommend and would most certainly stay again next time we’re in Stornoway. Thank you and keep up the amazing work.”
