“Interesting large historic rustic inn. Room less than basic. No bathroom, no closet, no drawers. Very small. Bedsheets clean and crisp. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Parking convenient and no charge. Interesting and attactive grounds. ”

“The vintage thrift store room theme was underwhelming. The sheets were old and would not stay on the bed and the walls are thin. The shower was dirty , in need of new seals and had mold on the shower tile. We were very disappointed for the price. The inn is in a great location close to parks and trails. ”

“Such a fun experience to stay at CW! It reminds me of the inn from the movie Blackbeard’s Ghost in the best way. The property is lovely and feels like an adult sleep away camp. Our room in the lodge was very quaint but oh so comfortable. We loved having comfy robes and the Pendleton wool Filson blanket for our bed. The shared bathroom was well appointed and had everything we needed to get ready for the day. Because the rooms are small we took advantage of many of the seating areas around the inn to read, drink coffee, and hang out (including the outside ones facing the water. We’re excited to sit around a fire outside in our next trip. We enjoyed the complimentary s’mores in the great room on arrival and dinner in the restaurant was excellent - many options for every palate. We couldn’t decide between the rhubarb tart, carrot cake or earl grey ice cream with shortbread for dessert so chose all three. Highly recommend. Overall, this experience is just that - an experience. Creaky floors, small staircases, old windows, and thin walls. That’s the charm of staying somewhere that’s authentic and over 100 years old. The added bonus is the wonderful staff, the general store espresso bar with lovely gifts, the sauna, the location, the views, and the attention to detail around the property. I can’t wait to return.”

“The rooms are minimal. Not even options for USB charging let alone a microwave or tv. The rustic charm is fine, but then we were stuck listening to both neighbors do what people do in romantic hotels, loudly. Walls seem paper thin in a long cabin exterior. The space was nice but bathroom was "quirky" small in not a good way. The state was nice, helpful even. The restaurant options are ridiculous as are the breakfast choices. Nothing is simple or easy. The grounds are very well kept. Parking was convenient and available. Rooms access is easy too. ”
