“We spent three very enjoyable and relaxing nights at this beautiful chateau. We were given a very warm and genuine welcome by the owners, Natalia and Hervé, who successfully struck the balance between friendliness and discretion. We spent one day by the pool enjoying the sunshine ( there are only 4 rooms at the chateau so the pool never gets too busy, in fact we had it to ourselves that day), the next visiting the fascinating wine museum nearby. We had a delicious meal at Le Coq restaurant in the village - just a 10 minute walk away. The highlight of our stay was Hervé’s wine tasting in the chateau cellar with the other residents - it was great fun and we liked the fact he chooses small independent wine producers, all with fascinating back stories. We definitely hope to return to Chateau des Janroux one day soon!”
