Coastal Suites | Hotel in Grand Bend, Ontario

“Whelp - we stayed here when it was brand new 4 years ago. And clearly the standards were not maintained. The ad is misleading as the pictures don’t show an 80 seat restaurant patio - of while when you sit outside on the upstairs deck of the hotel room which is supposed to be a great feature - it’s not when your staring at people eating food. The air conditioning box triggered a loud sound every 30 minutes or so. The curtain had holes it - so you see light in the morning when still sleeping. Almost impossible to lock the front door of the building leaving units exposed. The rate was almost 200 dollars more than it was 4 years ago. Sadly we loved the idea of coming back to the exact same room a 4 years ago - and we won’t be back.”

“We recently arrived home from Coastal Suites Grand Bend where we had a lovely time. Our updated room was a great size complete with a balcony to enjoy in the mornings and evenings before we headed to the beach and when we came back for the night! A big shout out to Jayvin who was wonderful and very accommodating in fact, all of the staff were helpful and always very polite! Coastal Suites Grand Bend is over top of Crabby Joe’s and on the main strip with a five minute walk to the beautiful beach. We walked everywhere. Our car never moved from its parking spot until we checked out.! We would highly recommend Coastal Suites Grand Bend !!!!”

“The bathroom was gross and room was overall not well maintained.”

“Arrived around 11am so we could pay for 24 hour parking. We were told parking was 25-30. It was $35. But still cheaper to park there and walk down to the beach. Everything worked great, fridge was a bit beaten up and the sink was broken. They added cream, milk and utensils in the room which was nice. Neighbours were loud and annoying. *this is above crabby joes and we only heard cheering from the patio* which was fine but our neighbours were a group of kids. Staff were friendly.”

“Was supposed to receive an email 48 hours before check-in as there is no front desk at this hotel - did not receive email. Once arrived had to call the number three times before somebody finally answered. Then had to wait for lady to come take us up to our room. There was no parking left in the parking lot for the hotel so we had to park way down the road and pay which was not stated in the reservation listing. The room was not great - dirty Kleenex left on the table, floor floors were disgusting (it was like they had been swept or mopped in a month), coffee maker but no mugs - got annoyed when we asked for mugs. When checking out how to take keys to the restaurant - had to wait about 15 minutes because nobody would come to the door and I finally walked back to the kitchen door and yelled hello till finally somebody came out. The location of this hotel is great. But there needs to be more services and more communication with hotel guest..”

“The room was amazing and the stay was amazing as well. The only negative feature about the room was that there was a huge Crabby Joe's LED board that stays on all night long outside. However, they have done their best with resolving this issue with lots of retractable blinds that block out most of this lighting. The staff at Crabby Joes were amazing as well and were very helpful when needed.”

“Everything was fabulous! No complaints, the room was clean and spacious, shower water nice n hot! Parking great and easy access to to room from the front and back. Also enjoyed the deck. Definitely would return to stay here”
