DK27 Key Lime Villa Reviews
Reviewer Type: Extended Group
Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Property in a great location. We enjoyed Duck Key and the Angler and Ale restaurant.
Negative: Seems a bit small and cramped. Not much in the way of kitchen supplies and bare minimum of dishes and glasses. We would have enjoyed access to our dock area but it’s blocked off and the dock is collapsing.
Summary: We had a good stay and the room was sufficient for our needs.

Positive:
Beautifully appointed property with tasteful decor in a lovely location. Kitchen fairly well equipped and laundry facilities good.
Negative:
Plunge pool was not in operation. Detailed instructions left in the property and in the QR code app but none worked because the pump etc was not connected. Obviously not worked for a while and as this was one of the key reasons for booking this property, this was very disappointing. We reported this, and the fact we could not open the balcony doors, to Vacasa straight away and were assured someone would come out. No one got back to us. I contacted via Booking.com and could not get anyone to grasp the issue. They kept telling me it was not heatable but instructions made it clear it could be air jet heated to 85 degrees but air jets were not connected and operational. Also had a problem with the heating (weather was unseasonal) which gave off a very strong smell of burning (dust in vents etc?) and set the smoke alarm off! Nobody came to check that either - just told us it was normal and to leave it to burn off.
A shame because the property should have merited a much better score but for mismanagement
Summary: Beautiful property but poor communication and failure to address problems encountered let it down and diminished the val

The pull-out couch was broken, when pulled out the front of bed dropped to the floor. Consider a bed topper.
These issues did not affect us but thought you would want to know about them.

The rental was very clean and we especially enjoyed relaxing out back. The little plunge pool was a great way to cool off in the heat. We also appreciated that the property was in a quiet part of the keys!
