“My husband and I honeymooned at Donner Lake at a family cabin. Since my husband past away I celebrate my anniversary every year here as well. My family doesn't own the cabin any more so I have always stayed at this location. My rooms have always been clean, quiet, and I love the fully equipped kitchens. The hotel is lakeside so you have direct access to the water. At night you can sit on the dock, gaze at the stars,and listen to the trains as they slowly make their around the mountain side on the other side of the lake.”

“Perfect location! Views of Donner Lake are stunning! The common areas on this property are amazing. Rooms are comfortable and roomy. Kitchenette convenient. Close to Truckee and Lake Tahoe. ”

“While one might argue Donner Lake Village needs an update, don’t let that stop you from staying there…staff is great, there’s a ton of activities and it’s easy to relax there. The views are breathtaking!”

“The location is perfect for access to water sports on Donner Lake (immediately on the backside of the hotel) and a spectacular view of Donner Summit. The hotel has been comfortably updated, contributing to a calm environment. ”
