Eagle View Motel is a great place to stay. Our room was large, clean and well stocked. The view outside is amazing! I would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Owners left code for door on email. We had room on top floor. Excellent view of river from our room plus deck outside our door. Lots of BBQ facilities there (wished we had brought food to grill!). Landscaping ( flowers) was fabulous. So beautiful and peaceful. We would absolutely stay here again if we are ever in the area again.

Our stay was wonderful. Everything was very clean and the views were beautiful. We plan on staying here again. It truly is a hidden gem!!

We loved the grounds and the view. Our room was cozy, tidy and clean. A few minuses, the TV kept buffering. We ended up not getting it to work. There were ants in the bathroom. And one thing they can’t control.. trains blared all night long. We still will consider this place for a future visit, though and bring some ear plugs.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. The property, location, and views are breathtaking!!! It's a small little piece of heaven conveniently located close to town. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!!

Wished we would have checked in earlier but we had a wedding to attend. Air conditioning was not on and the room was about 85 degrees. Took a bit to cool down. Everything else was perfect. Beautiful place.

Best thing about the stay was the view of the Mississippi River from our room. Room was clean. Had a fridge and microwave -- nice touch. Internet/Wi-Fi was sporadic; don't count on it for your usage. AC unit worked nicely but was noisy like most motels/hotels. The retreat overlooks Highway 52 on a bluff so you have a nice view of the River. On the downside, there is a rail line close by and trains roll through during the night blowing their whistles and semi trucks going by on Hwy 52 using their air brakes made for challenging nights. Good luck in getting a good, sound night's sleep. The exterior needs some TLC. The property had some nice features such as lounge chairs, grill, and fire pit. But the deck leading to the 2nd level is deteriorating. The structure could use some repair and paint. The grounds seemed to have a natural prairie look but there were weeds to take away from the attempted natural beauty. In summary, the Retreat had some nice features but also could be improved to make a person's stay more enjoyable. Since we didn't spend much time in our room other than sleeping and cleaning up, the negative aspects of the property didn't impact us much.

We had an excellent stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel. The atmosphere was quiet, cozy, and very relaxing from start to finish. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the views were incredible. The amenities were great and made the stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the birding — truly top notch for anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife. We also appreciated how pet friendly the property was, which made traveling with our dog stress-free. The staff was responsive, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Overall, a 5 out of 5 experience. We would definitely stay here again.

The views are spectacular! We arrived on a sunny warm day. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the view. We were told there was no delivery in town, so we grabbed a pizza and enjoyed that in the patio, as well. The room was very comfortable. The sunrise was even better! We could see it right from our bed, so no need to even get up to see it! Would recommend!
