Summary: when we checked in on 9/21 the receptionist was so rude. Rather then asking how can I help you she said in a rude town what do you want. I stood there waiting cause she was typing and didn’t acknowledge that I walked in and when I stood there for 3min she then said what do you want? I then said I wasn’t sure whether you she was busy cause she didn’t greet me she was just glued to her screen and didn’t say anything. She then check me in asked my id then told me I have to return the key to the front desk when I check out. She seemed as if she was rushing. I then asked where the elevator was cause he had a lot of luggage and she said they didn’t have one. I asked how many floors and which floor was our room on and she said all the rooms were on the second floor. I told her it was our first time the hotel and wasn’t familiar with the hotel. She brushed me off and continue typing what ever it was that she was typing. I felt like I was bothering her. Mind you we got in on a later flight and got to the hotel around 930pm and were super tired. Anyway we went upstairs and looked for our room. It was confusing cause our room was at the end of the hall on the otherside of the staircase . rooms were huge and the bed was very big (king bed) which was amazing. After bringing our stuff upstairs I and getting settled in my mom and I couldn’t figure out how to turn off the main room lights. We pushed every button and still could t figure it out.she rudely said it’s on the wall but it wasn’t

Summary: Pros: rooms are big, beds are on stiffer side but comfortable, pillows are comfortable, staff is overall great, located about a mile from the main warf and main bar, about 3 blocks from city center.
Neutral: breakfast will always consist of: coffee, water or juice, 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 slices of toast and fruit.
Cons: definitely outdated and can see staining, cracked tiles, older and wobbly furniture, just generally everything is outdated. Difficult to get ahold of via WhatsApp or through hotels.com messaging.

Summary: This is an older hotel which I happened to love. It still is very comfortable and very close to the city so one can walk to town and see all the city sights. Opposite the sea. The manger and his wife, Maliu & Masela are absolutely fantastic in every way. If something is not right and they can fix it, they will. If you would like a tour of the island Maliu is your man. He did a private day tour for me and it was so enjoyable, at my pace and he was born here so knows the island inside and out. HIs wife runs the hotel beautifully and I love the what they call "continental breakfast included". It is a full meal and brought to your table daily with smiles. All staff are wonderful. I really loved my week at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The restaurant within the hotel has great food. They have a new building being built on the southern side of the hotel so I would ask for a room on the Western side for now as it is quieter. They also provided transport to/from the airport at a charge but that was stipulated and I was happy to pay.

Summary: Pretty good the staff was nice they help very well. Breakfast was good. Definitely will book it again. You get what you pay for it’s not a 5 star hotel. I was pretty much out all day. You need somewhere to lay your head and enjoy The views of Tonga.

Summary: 3-star at best and that's being generous. The walls are not insulated from noise. Old outdated furnishing, pillow cases seemed clean, but stained, sheets torn in places, ceiling, walls and wood trim peeling in places, bathroom fan didn't work, towels felt like sandpaper, strong smell of disinfectant, TV was broken, they couldn't fix it and wouldn't replace it, just said "oh well," sketchy wifi, but nice staff-Nai is awesome, good AC and close to the ocean. You could do better with a different hotel, one that actually provides the services that it advertises.
