Positive: We loved the classic French architecture of the hotel. The staff was friendly. They let us keep our luggage at the hotel after checking out when we explored the city. Walking distance to the Museum of natural History, Chinatown and the artesian market.

Positive: The interior is adorable and the staff is very helpful. It's not 5 stars and I would have like to have shampoo but then the price is really good. Neighborhood may not look like much, but it turned out to be a pretty good location. Breakfast was better than in other places we stayed.
Negative: The shower was a bit iffy, we had plenty of hot water but getting to the right temperature was not straightforward.
Summary: Pretty good place

Positive:
Love the building and all the artwork on display. The restaurant was under renovations, so I cannot comment on that, but the breakfast was very good. Gallo Pinto , eggs, , fried plantain and fresh fruit , bread for toasting and a variety of cereals were all ready for buffet style service.
The patio in the front is a great place to enjoy while waiting for a taxi.
I slept with the window open and didn’t hear the train until maybe around 5 AM, it wasn’t louder than the bird that was also singing outside.
Negative:
The surrounding areas are a bit mixed, but I felt safe enough to walk about by myself. There is a nice restaurant just around the corner and the Museo Nacional is but a few minutes away.
Summary: A very charming place
