Positive:
Proximity to the pedestrian downtown San Jose. The room and property were clean.
Negative:
Our room was directly over a busy street and the noise made it difficult to sleep, and noisily awakened early in the morning. We asked for a change to an interior room. Not!
Although the GPS took us there, we had to ask where the hotel was. No visible identifying signage.

Positive:
Decent location. Staff were generally helpful and friendly.
Negative:
Not very clean, for example, there was a clump of hair floating in the swimming pool. Bed almost in point of collapsing and as lumpy as anything (although in fairness I did sleep well).
Summary: Adequate for an overnight stay on arrival and departure from Costa Rica
