“We highly recommend this accommodation. The hotel is historic, charming, and in a quieter section within the palace walls. We stayed outside the walls the first couple of nights and then stayed within the walls. It's quite special to wander around in the evening, not worry about traffic, and return to this property. The best part of our stay is Edita and Ivan. They are welcoming, courteous, helpful and provide the small touches that make Split so wonderful.”

“Breakfast was wonderful, fresh orange juice and a good selection to chose from. Very friendly and attentive staff. Air conditioning was comfortable. Loved the room, very elegant.Beautiful chandelier. Never seen a hair dryer come with a case and both were the same color.”

“Our stay was amazing! I have no complaints. Room on first floor was roomy and elegant. The staff were very friendly, respectful and accommodating. The hotel was in perfect spot in old town. We appreciated the help carrying our luggage from the parking lot to the hotel. Out of 3 hotels we’ve experienced, only Hotel Cardo helped with our luggage. Transportation cannot drop us off right in front of hotels in old town in Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb. Have to walk to the hotels with our luggage. Thank you Edita, Ivan and Dino for all your help.”

“Excellent hotel. We arrived by bus and were able to arrange with the hotel for a pickup at the bus station. Ivan then greeted us and walked us the rest of the way to the hotel. Our room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. If you are interested the hotel has the ability to book dinner reservations or city tours. The hotel is very close to everything and the surrounding areas are very easy to navigate. You are walked to breakfast around the corner which was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in Split. ”
