“Check in was great, owner sent a message the day before with relevant details. I left very early the next day so didn't actually get a chance to speak with them in person. Overall the room was nice, had everything I needed. Would happily stay again.”

“Mark was a lovely host, he gave us suggestions on what and where to go and communication was impeccable! The location was just walking distance to the castle, beach and bus stops so very ideal for us. Breakfast was delicious everyday. All the necessary amenities were available if needed. If you are going to Bamburgh, I would definitely recommend Hillcrest House B&B!”

“Mark is your best host. Our room overlooked a quiet field occupied by grazing sheep and rabbits....and had a distant view of the sea. The room was clean and the breakfast was first class with locally caught sausages 😋”

“Parking was a challenge...but got a spot. Breaky was good...The proprietor was very nice.
There were 3 or 4 Pubs in walking distance.

“Mark is an excellent host. Good instructions by text on how to enter the property and find your room.
Breakfast cooked to order by means of a card filled in the evening before and the time you would like it.
Nice quiet location in the busy village, just a few mins walk to eateries, the castle and beach.
Free WiFi.
Would recommend it to anyone who is able bodied, no lift as is a nice converted private house.”

“Ideal location- lots of eating places within 300 yards. Good clean room, good breakfasts and very helpful host. Finding a parking space on the street could be tricky.”
